You see, these limited edition Lander scales are an exact replica of the topography of Earth's Moon. In collaboration with Chroma Scales, we used a 3D scan of the Moon created from orbiting NASA satellites and carefully pulled 100 different locations for the scale prints. Each of these 100 prints are a unique part of the Moon, and no two are the same. Here’s how it works: Randall engineers expensive 3d printers (they cost $200K+) at HP by day. Then he prints Knafs scales on these wild, expensive printers by night. It’s an amazing symbiosis. And the printers! Essentially, they take powder-based polymer and lay it down on a bed. UV light then shines on the polymer, hardening it and colorizing it, layer by layer, in an additive manufacturing process.
